Charisma is a seven piece band specializing in
wedding receptions, corporate events and special
occasions! Complete Master of Ceremony services are
provided to assure that events run smoothly.
Featuring live jazz for cocktail hour followed by
classic standards, ballads and duets and, before you
know it, the dance floor is packed with guests dancing
to Motown, Funk, Disco, Soul, Classic Rock and Popular
Music.

Roz Landman - Lead Vocalist
|
Vocalist extraordinaire Roz Landman has been
singing in public since the age of nine. She graduated
in 1994 from U Mass Amherst with a degree in film and
theatre studies, as well as a minor in vocal
performance. Roz is currently promoting her
newly released CD with the pop/dance/r&b group "Aura".
"I am excited to be singing with such professional and
talented musicians as the guys in Charisma . Our
performances are always fun and it's great to leave
our clients happy and satisfied."

Brendan Byrnes - Drummer
|
Brendan Byrnes has enjoyed an active career both
performing and teaching music in the Boston area for
over ten years. He received a B.A. in Music
Performance and Education from the Berklee College of
Music. As a freelance drummer, he performs a wide
variety of music including jazz, funk, and rock, as
well as Afro-Cuban and Caribbean music. For five
years, he was a member of the Crystal Ship, a
nationally renowned Doors tribute band. Brendan has
also worked with a diverse number of artists including
the Hot Blue Q, Doc Nelson and The Remedy, Evelyn
McDonald and the Gospel Singers, Shirley Lewis, the
Paul Speidel Trio, and most recently Charisma. Brendan
also has a teaching studio for both drums and piano
that has grown to over fifty students.

Chuck Torlone - Keyboards
|
Chuck Torlone comes to Charisma with a wealth of
keyboard experience. His earliest musical training
includes 10 years of Classical Piano training as well
as keyboard duties with a variety of garage bands as a
teenager. Chuck was the keyboards player and lead
vocalist for the well known Rock band: "Poor Paul"
throughout the 1970's and 80's. He was also a featured
player in "The Dutchmen", Gunga and the Dins",
"Champagne Taste", and "Men without Ties". Immediately
prior to joining Charisma, Chuck performed with the
very popular nightclub R&B band; "Uptown Sound". Says
Chuck: " I've been around the music scene for quite a
while and Charisma is a first class act that can play
anywhere and anytime and always get our audience
excited. I love this band!"

John Steinberger - Bass guitar and vocals
|
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Jon graduated
from the Berklee School of Music and studied privately
with Jeff Berlin of the internationally known bands "Bruford
" and "Yes". He also studied with local jazz educator
extraordinaire Charlie Banacos, world-reknowned music
theory expert. Over the last twenty years he has
toured all over the East Coast and opened for various
groups such as Aerosmith,The Tubes, Twisted Sister,
and Cheap Trick. Jon plays both acoustic and
electric bass and adds his highly seasoned talents to
Charisma's refined sound.

Robert Lewis Westbrooks - Vocalist
|
Rob Lewis is a native of Stoughton, MA. His vocal
talent was discovered at the age of seven, in the
Young People's Choir of the historic Charles Street
A.M.E. church of Boston. He remained heavily involved
in music and drama activities throughout his public
school years, culminating with an award for musical
excellence at graduation. After high school, he
pursued his musical education at both Boston
University and the Berklee College of Music.
Throughout his musical career, "R.L." has delivered
outstanding performances in professional and
semi-professional musical theatre productions as well
as providing exciting lead vocals for several New
England area show bands. He is comfortable performing
in a wide range of styles, including jazz, show tunes,
R&B, pop and even classical repertoire.

Erik Ringstad - Guitar
|
Erik, originally from New York City, began his
musical studies at the age of four with classical
training on the piano. After switching to guitar when
he was fifteen, he attended and graduated from the
Berklee School of Music in Boston. He nows teaches
guitar to other aspiring musicians. He has been
performing all styles of music in New England since
1984. He has also released two CDs woth his own
critically acclaimed band " Acousticity". Everyone
enjoys Erik's big smiles and the sensitive artistry he
adds to every genre of music.

Kenji Kikuchi - Sax
|
Kenji Kikuchi, Charisma's saxophone player,
graduated from both the Berklee College of Music and
the Boston Conservatory of Music. In addition to
playing sax with Charisma, Kenji enjoys performing
both classical music and jazz. He is an accomplished
composer of contemporary classical music and his work
has been performed by several Symphony Orchestras.
Kenji also has a full schedule of students whom he
instructs on a variety of instruments including flute
and clarinet.
