Blue Diner Dance Band

The BLUE DINER DANCE BAND serves up YOUR favorite dance numbers. We present an extensive menu that will bring you sounds from six decades of dance music. We’ll begin with sultry jazz standards to set the scene for cocktails and candlelight. For the main course, house specials are Motown and R&B dance grooves garnished with a sprinkling of 70’s dance hits, salsa, big band swing and contemporary pop. We can accommodate the most discerning palate with side orders of ethnic or specialty dances. For dessert we offer the romance of “cheek-to-cheek.” From big band to the blues, bobby socks to the Beatles, we can coax the most hesitant dip-and-twirlers to dust off their ballroom slippers or we can make the juke joint jump. We have the ingredients, the skill and the flair to cater to your musical needs.

BEHIND THE COUNTER

Susan Fero is featured on tenor and alto saxophone. Susan holds a degree from Berklee College of Music and is the recipient of the Phil Woods Jazz Masters Award. Recent performance credits include Sculler’s, the Regattabar, Ryle’s and the Michigan Women’s Music Festival. With over fourteen years experience coordinating functions, Susan will assist you with the planning process and provide emcee services at your event.

Linda Serafin delivers stellar vocals and tasty keyboards with a style perfected in a variety of New England bands. A world traveler, Linda completed her experience on a dynamic rock tour from Canada to St. Thomas. Linda earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education at Rhode Island College. She currently spends her free time teaching and producing recorded projects at her own studio.

Suzanne Wood is featured on lead vocals and bass. Suzanne anchors the rhythm section with her grooving basslines and adds her soulful vocals to swing, disco and Motown hits. Past projects include “Sing Sing” and “Uptown Girls.” Suzanne currently teaches music at the Hartland School in Vermont and holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts degree from New Hampshire’s Dartmouth College.

IN THE KITCHEN

The master chefs behind the BLUE DINER DANCE BAND, our experienced rhythm section is ready to cook for you! From rock n’ roll to jazz, Ed Grilli leads the rhythm section with his versatile guitar playing. Possessing a resonant baritone voice, Ed can croon a Sinatra standard or rip it up on the rock ‘n roll. Tom Foote lays down the jam on drums. In addition to attending Berklee and performing with numerous New England bands, Tom is a studio session professional in the Boston area.
